Warning: There will be a lot of pictures of my dog Maci haha
When the 2018 Paradise, CA Fire was happening I was living in the Sacramento area. The air quality was terrible so I took a trip to South Lake Tahoe to get away! (I know, about 2 years late blogging about it. I wasn’t blogging yet when I went lol) This trip wasn’t really planned. I booked the hotel the morning that I left and made random stops along the way and on the way back home. Here’s a brief blog sharing what I did!
I had my dog with me so I had to find a dog friendly hotel. I loved this hotel and I’m planning on going back for another short trip eventually. When we arrived they gave my dog a goodie bag and had overall great customer service!

The hotel also has a restaurant. That’s where I ate while there. Not sure how that is working currently. They may be delivering to rooms or open for take out.
The first place that I went was a day trip from the hotel. We walked around a little bit and went on a short hike.

2nd stop was Tallac Historic Estates. Nice place to walk and there were great views!

Last stop on the way home was Echo Lake! Didn’t hike at all here. Just went far enough to get a good view of the lake.
This one is tricky address wise. I literally saw the sign on the way home and stopped lol. When I try to look for an address I can’t find one but it looks like if you put “Echo Lakes Trailhead” in the GPS it comes up!

That’s all for now! Until next time…Happy Exploring!
