What is travel Occupational Therapy?

A brief explanation.

An OT helps one gain, regain or maintain their current level of independence allowing them to live fulfilling lives. As an OT I work with patients to meet specific goals. For example if someone has a broken arm and cannot use it I help them to continue to be independent with getting dressed by teaching ways to do so using only the functional arm.

So, as a travel OT I complete 13 week assignments in various settings. So for example I may work in Southern California January-April then move to Northern California April-July then somewhere else for the next 3 months. Living life on the go is not always easy but it’s never boring!
